Pikkolo Baby Carrier - Demonstration

Laura Hamilton of http://www.theportablebaby.com demonstrates the Pikkolo Baby Carrier by Catbird Baby. This carrier can handle newborns to toddlers in front-facing-in, front-facing-out, hip and back carries.

In this demonstration, Laura shows you how to do front-facing-in, front-facing-out and back carries with the straps backpack-style (not crossed) and using the chest strap and Babywearing Belt.

The Pikkolo can be used with baby facing out...the front of the carrier can be cinched with cordlocks to narrow it.

The Beco Butterfly cannot be used in a facing out position, but the Beco Gemini can be, it has flaps on the side of the carrier body that snap back and create a narrower base, much like the Pikkolo. The Gemini is only for up to 35 lbs, and it is a shorter carrier than the Pikkolo, so not as good for babies over 1 yr.

what are the baby carriers that can be used with front facing forward or out position for the baby? can the beco butterfly be used as such? also, is it okay to wash the pikkolo and after washing the pikkolo, is it still nice? thank you
