Postscript before you Thumbs Down my comment: I wanted to add that I, too, enjoy his 101s to an extent, but they really are something you watch if you're too lazy to go to Wikipedia, in my opinion. His non-comic videos are of very high quality and I recommend them.

DCompose in general does not have very high-quality videos for people who have read a comic in their lives. He obviously did not grasp many concepts.
Next from DCompose: Maus 101, about a story that's a Tom and Jerry rip-off!

oddly enough ive never read the book but then again ive never read alot of dc in general. dont get me wriong i do love my dc characters but eh havnt really read much but off topic i want to read it ive been a comic book fan for years the sad thing is you wouldnt see this book much in my shop i always tried to find it single issue but eh whatever now the fucker is everywhere the thing i hate but love is too see som many bullshit fans that think there comic gods. and the possible remake scare.

damn this comic was dissapointing. the first half was really interesting but then it went free fall from then on. the squid really did it for me, almost complete ruined the book. really overrated book.

Definatly does the book more justice than DCompose's review of the book... well it wasnt really a review.. but yeah..
If youve read this, you know that it cannot be summed up and talked about FULLY in a youtube video. Youd need a heck of a lot more time. Its so good and I really love the book!
Ive looked back at it so many times and re-read parts again and again Its so awesome and deep.

I said what makes it great are the carachters and the way it's written, which is the reason. I never said the reason it was so great was becuse "it's about 6 heros that try to save the world while saving themslves", those words NEVER left my lips. I agree fully that this cannot be sumarized that easily, this is why I want to encourage people to READ it, so they can make their own oppinions on the book and not take mine, in essence, I though it was beyond a 101, therfore I have BIG respect 4 it

Ok, this is what I don't get, with full respect to your video, you said that I didn't speak enough about the caracters or do the book any kind of justice, yet.. In this video, you've only started to talk about the carachters and the actual book 3 minutes in. In which you talk about Manhattan for 10 seconds.

my point is what makes watchmen great has nothing to do with what you mentioned. it is it's depth, layers and the myriad of intentional facets that make it the greatest comic ever.
on the trailer it is called "the most celebrated graphic novel of all time"... and this is not simply because of a couple of twists in the story line.
if i was to deconstruct each character, it would probably take 10 mins each in the basics... but i don't want to spoil it for too many people... like yourself.
