And now we've hit the bottom of the barrel, at least for now. While I love Emboar, and will proudly use him in White, this model kit is pretty bad. Not only is Emboar really small, he has stickers everywhere that just don't stay on. It's really a shame. Anyway, this set includes Pikachu, Tepig, Pignite, and Emboar, completing the evolution set and adding in a really useless Pikachu. He's like a bad cold. Just won't go away. I'll avoid rambling too bad, and just move on with the damn review.

Overall, this is a very mediocre set, and I'm glad it only retails for about $8. If you don't mind painting, the set has a lot more pros than cons, but as it is, straight out of the box, it isn't worth it in the slightest. If you're a huge Emboar fanatic, you may also get a bigger kick out of it. If you're gonna get PokéPla, I'd stick to the single releases like Ho-Oh, Lugia, or any of the other Legendaries, they seem to have a better track record of being awesome (more plastic to go to one as opposed to four).

Have they made these figures bigger than the model sets of the Johto starters evolution family? Because I have Cyndaquil, and it is tiny, and so it Quilava and I was hoping Typhlosion would be bigger too

@KingMinun If anything, these are probably SMALLER than the Johto ones, but I don't have the Johto Evo sets to compare, so I don't really know.

are they hollow or are they like heavy? i cant stand hollow, if its too light...

They are model kits, so they are very much hollow. I'd recommend getting the US Jakks Pacific toys if you want some heavy, solid figures.

Is it just me or do teh recant fire starters have a journey to the west look?With Infernape looking like the Monkey King Wukong, and Emboar looking like Shu(the pig from the monkey king thing)

@AtticusRh0des I noticed that too. Not sure why they used the same motif for starters two gens in a row, but it's not a bad motif at all. Infernape and Emboar can have wars with each other. lol

Why don't you get instant dry glue, and glue the stickers on the figure? It is only like $2-3!
