DXM is not an Opiate. Its a dissociative like ketamine and PCP.I dont like much as its sooo naauseating!But it can trip u out sometines with vivid closed eyed visuals.I once mixed 5 coricidin plus 60-8 mg Baclofen and had good and bad trip-with amazing visuals and euphoria. However coriridin is dangerous.So is baclofen with DXM. May not be so lucky next time!!

@WitchKvltToday You're absolutely correct sir but that is not what she said. She said it is a semi-synthetic opoid which this... Is actually true. The chemical is a methylated dextrotory stereoisomer of morphinan, a semi-synthetic derivitive of morphine. Why DXM causes dissociative anesthesia instead of opoid analgesia is not well known. Although it's levotory stereoisomer does infact cause opoid analgesia and is therefor an opiate.You're right though, but she wasn't wrong either.

Ok so they're saying teens are using DXM and that's somehow a problem... But how? Where is the problem? The fact they're getting high? What the hell is wrong with that? Human beings have been getting high for thousands of years so why is this a problem? I can only see a problem in DXM is if you're stupid enough to take around 2000mg and die or if you weren't aware of the harmful effects on the body with acetaminophen and chlorpheniramine mealate. Other then that what's the problem?

In this video they never actually say why it's bad to get high off cough syrup... DXM itself is only dangerous at dosages of more than 1,500 mg, so tripping even once a week on maybe a first plateau dosage isn't going to harm you. The only danger in cough syrups are the kinds that include acetaminophen.
