@radonpq99 what I am happy to see is a woman who is courageous enough to reveal the dark truth is being congratulated and celebrated by Pakistanies and not hounded out and attacked
@radonpq99 Well, not denying the fact that we too have apalling crimes committed on women in our country , but the freedom women get here and their rights are far better than in pakistan and afghanistan. Remeber its not only me / Indians that say this. Also more importantly the crimes here are exposed better through the media and govt/agencies are pressurized to act contrary to Pak where a strong but vocal segment try to cover it up / justify it based on religious sanctions.
with respect to this documentary, i agree that my comments are a bit out of sync as the documentary pertains to a crime prevalent on women in many countries and definitely in my country as well . What i intended was more in reference to her earlier documentaries on taliban , lifting the veil, pakistans taliban generation etc as i have seen those and we are happy that someone as daring as her is courageous to expose this in Pakistan . Also kudos to USA for rewarding such people.
@AviB76 This documentary is not about dangerous terrorist it is about a plastic surgeon's quest to reconstruct the faces of acid attack victims.Everyone and anyone can post a comment on youtube but it is good to check facts before you open your mouth.
@AviB76 Dont be so patronising sir for every crime in Pkaistan there are crimes in India which are ten times more gruesome and horrendous, child labour, selling of children, child prostitution and selling underage brides, rife HIV and AIDS, infanticides of female children and sacrificing children for deviant religious practices. I hope you come out of your bubble of illusion blown out of proportion by your own movie industry and face the stark realities in your own country.
Congratulations to the winner from Pakistan! Hats off to the daring lady for exposing dangerous people and groups in Pakistan who have become a headache to the country itself and the world! I as an Indian salute you and hope that USA encourages more such people for awards like this so that the terrorists and terror infrastructure in Pak get exposed to the world
I m so so happy about this. One of my Iranian friend was telling me about his country movie A SEPARATION is nominated for Oscar & was sure that his Iranian movie will win Oscar. Which they did .
& I was wishing may be any Pakistani movie will win. Now they did. Congrats to all Pakistani & movie director , you made us proud. ( we live in USA )
