Clips of Werner Herzog's "Nosferatu" accompanied by Vocal Ansambl Gordela's performance of "Zinzkaro" (also "Tsintsharo", "Tshintsharo", "Cin Ckaro"... whichever).

Prompted by the pre-menu montage that you see on the Anchor Bay Horror Classics DVD version.

  • may i touch your rusty spoons

  • @PinkWolfieLove Do they feel good on your condom fingers?

  • I looked for this passage everywhere for years and years from long before there was an internet. As soon as the internet existed I started looking for it, both the visual and the recording. I could not find the record anywhere and I'm not sure this version even exists outside of this film. I contented myself with the almost as rare Hamlet Gonashvili version which I have come to love, but still longed for this one. Finding this clip here now is the culmination of 25 years of searching. Thank you.

  • @clemdane You're welcome :-)

  • @portableversion yes, I also spent hours trying fruitlessly to find a recording of this version for sale and wrote to a bunch of websites, read hundreds of messageboard posts from people, probably the most frustrating internet search I've ever done. We are very lucky that someone has posted it on Youtube because otherwise it would be impossible. I think you'd have to hire a Georgian private detective to spend a year sleuthing around Georgia to figure this out.

  • @clemdane ok i searched again went to google and typed in gordella zinzcaro found a "hit" titled 10 degrees of separation towards the bottom it says if your looking for werners version point your nose towards gruzinskie nardnye pesni-ansamble gordella, i googled that and i found a website titled souvenir the largest retail store for sale russian cd's audio tapes and etc. I tinkered with that finally found the home page and called the guy he wants me to send an email, his english is horrible

  • @satanel77 if you got amazon.com they used to anyway(been 3 years since i checked) they have the picture of the album cover and on the cover it says russian dvd, but its out of stock i emailed russian dvd or called them and they said it was not available, c/mon folks ive said it many times the world needs this to get out

  • @MorbidBliss22 it was used in various scenes in the movie but its not on the soundtrack big bummer

  • @KatesPinkZeppelin i found her usage while researching this song

  • @bgrrrlie dude you got a vinyl of gordela!! omg i hope you could get with a music manufacturer and get prodution on cd's, the world needs this and now

  • @ikagabisonia werner herzog exposed non-georgians to the music, many like me never heard such sounds and now we are hooked and cry out for gordela, dude if you can find gordela and get it into production bro get it on amazon.com or something, the world needs this. So ikagabisonia how old is this song and what is it about, i was thinking maybe it was a lover writing a poem to the other lover

  • @portableversion someone in georgia must have a record of gordela, whoever they are they must get it out and get it in production, get it to amazon , im sure lots of folks would pay good money, i would pay. hearing this got me to research georgia, pbs a few months back had a documentary of a british? firm trying to get the electrical grid modernized, and there was a riot over increased fees and i think they played tsintscaro in the background,

  • @portableversion thru my quest of finding this i found a website called best of gerogian music or something they had a bunch of georgian music you could at the time click on it and listen but no gordela, hell i emailed herzogs team in germany to figure this out, they replied ans simply said gordela was not available but i also discovered shen biccho anagurelo, and bercaci 2 other songs i found worthwhile, a friend of mine was able to somehow burn it off the internet but now the cd is scratched

  • @clemdane oh my this is my story as well, i saw this movie back in 2003 and fell in love with this song instantly, i became obsessed, amazon has a picture of the cover of the album made by russian dvd, i tracked down russian dvd and they said it was unavailable, and same thing here had to contend with hamlet gonashvili, but i think hamlet was in the gordela group too, it would be nice to get a cd of gordela, wtf happend over there? too many wars or what? this is the most beautiful song ever
