We set up a cage in our garage to catch the raccoon that eats all our cat food.

We tried locking the cat door, but as you can see in the background, he ripped it completely off the door few weeks ago.

He got trapped and somehow got out of the cage and a minute later and came back to eat all the food off the floor.

  • simple solution to all this. make ur cat an indoor cat... its better for the cat's health anyways.. outside he/she can get run over, attacked by other animals, fight with other cats n catch kitty AIDS (FIV),leukimia etc....

  • Can't help thinking that they are smart.

  • @Ddahnn That last sentence is your opinion.

  • @threeby8887 Interesting since they were here long before the cities and suburbs. The fault here is people constantly reproducing and building in the wild animals habitats. We are the destructive pests.

  • Raccoons are smart and strong. Havaheart traps work but get one with a strong door. My Woodchuch one got a coon and he bent the door open, latch stayed latched. Now I just shoot the Chucks, easier.

  • @deerhunter3320 .22s work great too.

  • @erwcat "why the fuck u want to catch it and cause stress to a wild animal"

Because it DOES NOT BELONG in human cities or suburbs. And it most certainly does not belong in peoples' houses. Furthermore ratcoons are highly destructive pests.

And as for the animal's stress, that's it's fault for coming into a human habitation in the first place. It needs to be in the wild.

So, it needs to be caught and either transported to the wilderness, or euthanized.

  • @Me112233 If you can't trap it, then it's time to shoot it.

  • @chan2946 So what? I would just drive it about 20 or 30 miles away to a wilderness area where no people live, and let it go. Then it could eat all it wanted, yet it would be far away from my or anyone else's house.

  • like this song. mountain music

  • WOW! That was an eyeopener. If you don't mind, what make of cage trap was that? It looked like it had a spring loaded door, but I could not tell anything about the locking device. I've never had a Raccoon (or anything else) escape my cages, and I don't want to buy that brand of equipment. Great Video!!!
