Steve's trap bar deadlift - 510 for 4 reps at Snap Fitness 24-7 in Marlton, NJ. Previous trap bar deadlift PR was 490 x 1 (4 weeks ago). In 10 weeks....we've added 100 pounds to Steve's trap bar deadlift and he's doing it 100% raw! "Raw" means not using lifting straps (for weaklings), a belt, or any lifting powerlifting gear! He was able to do 400 when we started, but couldn't get that off the ground without straps. Technique, percentage progression, grip work and many other factors have contributed to this extremely fast progress. Our trap bar weights 70 pounds.
