My cleanser is amazing and it doesn't dry out my skin at all. I use Neutragena Stress Control Acne Free Scrub, which both cleanses and exfoliates, and it is really gentle and yet it works really well at the same time. It's also benzoyl peroxide (the stuff that mainly dries out skin) free!!

He is right though that the BP will kill your skin if you are not careful. Start applying a layer of BP once a day. Only cleanse and moisturize the other time in the day. Start with a smaller amount of BP for the once a day cover as well. Let your skin get accustomed to the BP or else you may experience redness, flaking, dryness, etc. Just don't move on to using more until you know your skin is used to the amount you are using. Eventually get to twice a day to fight bacteria all day and night.
