My brother Jeff was a huge Bruce Springsteen fan who passed away on 11/02/2004. His last e-mail and his last communication to me was : "Yesterday in Minnesota Bruce Springsteen did a free concert to tens of thousands of people for John Kerry. One of the songs he did was "Promised Land" which is one of my favorite songs. Yeah Bruce ! Love , Jeff"

I lost my dad to cancer last week and I would have liked to play this song at his funeral. Rest In Peace Dad. I miss you more then you could imagine. They definitely broke the mold when God built you.

My parents bought me this album the xmas before my grandad died. In the 6 months afterwards I moved into his house until it was sold, to sort all the belongings and furniture, and i listened to this album a lot. This song, and Gypsy biker, will always make me think of him.
