  • I just watched this video coz its 12Am and im bored.....

Can anyone explain to me what R those things??

  • Those are old servers.. Check out the new videos.

  • WHS does have FTP/DNS/DHCP. I don't use DHCP or DNS on it. I only use the FTP which works just like any other server 2003 system. I use a sync program that sync's my music folder at home with a hard drive at work. Alot of people say that it's been cut down but I haven't noticed any difference. Maybe it's because it's OEM.. I have no idea..

  • Umm no it doesn't have FTP/DNS/DHCP. WHS is a cut down version of Win Server 2003 for home users. I got tired of mine lightly freezing to the point I had to restart. So I am rebuilding my Storage system with freenas. Freenas is much better then WHS in my opinion, but what ever.

  • Doesn't offer nightly backups with windows system. The media sharing sucks when streaming to xbox 360. Freenas is a good product just needs to have a little more work done..

Oh yeah.. iSCSI didn't work with ESXi either in the latest version of Freenas

  • do you work in the tech industry? bc you sure know what you're talking about :)

i look up to you lol

  • Nope.. Just your average day user.. I like the idea of having all my data in one spot. Having it all nice an secure is a huge deal to me also. I had a 1T world book with all my data crash on me a few years ago. Since then I have been really strict on backup and even having offsite storage. I'll take a new video soon. I just upgraded all my server and computers..I should good to go for a few years now.. hehe.

  • Those 3.5" Drive Bay Adapters, Where did you get them?

  • no firewire. Using standard Eithernet cable with a switch is the easiest. Try to go with gigabyte networking if possible. You can also team up two network ports if you have that option.

  • ok,thx for reply...

but is it possilbe to connect with firewire etc?
