  • LOL.. Nice butt crack there Dan, but very cool. Glad to see something new, keep at it and keep posting more videos as you progress on this project.

    Kyle

  • @kkeezer Ya, I seen that crack too, butt oh well. Not much progress, I do have it back in the shop though now being used to pile things on. Thanks for the comment and for watching. Dan

  • cool old buggy you got there, dont see any thing like it at all, you should make a reall high geared rearend for it so you can drive round town

  • @onlypresto thanks, ya I should do something way different with this project. It's been sitting with no attentenion way too long, I did get it back into the shop now.

  • You got me all wrong bud. I am very interested in what you have there. I guess I was a wise ass, but really did not mean to be.

If you could, I would be very interested in knowing what that engine is and the clutch setup...what is it off of? Looks like a old dry dog clutch. Is it?

Is there a way you could get a better video up? Not really needing anything but a little more light and a few more seconds on the engine part of it.

You going to make this road driveable? Sorry again.

  • @sheltiemanva There is a little update on the vid of my sporty, one more vid of the sporty and ratrod update, but thats for shit to, I used movie maker on these vids and that seems to split things up and repeat everything. Dan

  • @danfhowe thas cool, ima subscribe so i can see it

  • @sheltiemanva I ran out of room to reply in 1 comment, This was just a project to take and turn some piles of scrap into somthing useful and different. With the 3 to 1 gearbox on the engine it probly won't go over 25 or 30 mph, so I thought it would be neat to drive around old tractor shows and swap meet or what ever. It will have to be trailered there though, if you have anymore questions just ask. Dan

  • @sheltiemanva Thats ok, this is a 2 cyl John Deere engine off an old combine, the thing on the front of the trans, which is a 4 speed Saginaw, is a coupler I made to adapt to the gearbox on the engine. The clutch Is on the engine flywheel like a normal clutch. There is a 3 to 1 gear box after that which makes every thing turn the wrong way so I had to flip the rearend upside down. If you look on my channel there is another video, More rat rod, not much better, but more on engine.

  • @sheltiemanva Well, this was shot with a 30 dollar kiddie camera, but I must be alot smarter than you cause if I don't like a video I'm watching on youtube I just click on my <<back arrow and it magicly dissapears. I surely don't waste any of my time commenting on it either. Thanks for the view anyway. Dan
