I have the same type of video using a tripod here in Florida. Got it on November 1, 2011!!! You have to see it!!! Your's is doing a lot stuff that mine didn't.....Check it out!!!! (JMALIHA30 Channel you tube)...Very cool....Mine has been facing the east of my house for over one month now.....He's been there every night!!!! He expands and contracts...even goes translucent.....Good catch!!!!

Hey man I saw that a couple nights ago. It vanished and 5 mins later a second one appeared. So bright. To bad the camera doesn't show how super bright it is

I have seen something exactly like this, except the colors were green, yellow and red.
I was less than 50 feet away from it. I also live in BC, it was in 100 Mile House.
