Should have hung on to mine. Tearing up with nostalgia, like missing an old friend. Was one of the nicest looking, quite powerful, not too massive, groove boxes. Ah! the memories. The beats and bass we enjoyed; nodding heads, popping and breaking. I was about fifteen too when I got mine. From Sugar Hill Gang to NWA, Kool and the Gang to SWV, and so many others.

The JVC RCM-70 was my pride and joy at like age 15. Bought it new at Crazy Eddies on Long Island, at the time, Crazy Eddie would beat any price and so I got it at a good price. It was really heavy and took like 12 D batteries if I remember. I had it till like 2003, radio still worked, cassette was long gone. I left it on the side of the road with a sign looking for a new home. Someone picked up within minutes. RIP JVC RCM-70 my old friend.
