Coheed and Cambria - Heaven's Fence

Coheed and Cambria's frontman Claudio Sanchez has an amazing story he has been telling via his bands music and his comic book about a universe called "Heaven's Fence".

I made a video depicting this Universe. It's my interpretation. It's not 100% percent accurate or anything.

The 'lightning' connecting the Keywork (blue grid) to the Star Transformers (blue balls) isn't at all in the storyline I don't think... just needed to show my class that the Star Transformers are powering the keywork.

The keywork drops out at the end... forgot to enable that layer during my final render. Oh well. Pretend Claudio just went Crowing on it... (Although I don't think that Heavens Fence still resembles this at that point in the story.)

You did a great job on this. Which software did you render it in?

Maya 2009? I think? And I composited it in After Effects of some sort, whatever my school had.

I wouldn't be surprised in the least if the smaller star transformers were above, this is based off memory of year-old research.

I really wanted to make another video or an extended video but I have graduated from the course I was taking that allowed me access to the program. Sorry man!

Perhaps one day I will find myself with a lot of spare time and access to Maya again. Hopefully there is a legitimate animation of some sort by then though.

ohhhhh so theres a bunch of little planets in front of the key work? i thought it was only 7 planets, imagine beiong on one of those planets and justr looking outside and seing a giant planet right in front of you

The keywork is actually the blue light going through the planets, its essentially supplying nutrients like our sun does, and it also holds all the planets in place. The 7 blue balls are Star Transformers (its like having 7 suns), I don't think they're inhabited, but the Prise live on the middle one.

Thanks man! Put a lot of time into it.. more than the project needed haha but I didn't know what I was doing. The camera animation isnt exactly how I wanted it but it it turned out ok. appreciate the comment.

Actually Claudio was talking about that being a very real possibility when he finishes the graphic novel and the comics they really want to make it into a movie, i think it would be FREAKIN EPIC
