  • I found a point thats the exact same style as your red Bird Point and only a small part of the shaft is broke...I found it in Leesville Louisiana. Its also the same color, looks like the same rock.

  • @Frady78 I call these Albas but here in Louisiana a lot of our birdpoints carry influence from several different cultures. Albas, Frileys, Scallorns, and Hayes all seem to run together here in LA. Personally I think that with the exception of the Cohokia people and the Columbian River people, we in Louisiana have the most interesting birdpoints.

  • Nice video! I live in westlake and been finding a few along the river. You ever sift sand bars? I want to go try bundicks lake soon.

  • @jbridered There is one sand ridge at a lake near here where I sifted up prolly 10 bird points but I wouldnt suggest a sand bar. I dont know your situation there but if your in a creek or a river I would say stick to the places where you see rocks. Rocks seem to settle together in rivers and creeks instead of mixed in sand or silt (at least thats what Ive seen). So sand bars might not be so great, I dont know that for sure tho.

  • @jbridered I went to bundick lake and didnt have any luck but i am gonna try a really high point i found along the calcasieu river. Sure is easy to sift sand in the river though. I found one while looking for coins at a popular swim spot.

  • @jbridered nice job...they turn up in the funniest places sometimes. If you are finding points there dont let me turn you off of it, it just seems odd to me. That high point should be good, just dig deep. If you KNOW they had to be there just dig till you find em, thats been my experience.
