@ORDuckSeahawk That is not good. You should have assembled the box exactly as instructed in the video. This is a sealed design and will sound bad if it is leaking.
-
@HoodAudio2 ues "Yellow Glue" wood glue
-
think it be ok to add two 3/4 thick mdf wood on top of a dual ported sub box and gonna put roofing stuff called peel & seal between the mdf boards before i mount it on the sub box
-
why i mean
-
well if its not good then my is mike mouning the amp on the box are you saying hes wrong doing with his product
-
a good amp doesnt build very much heat if its being used properly. because the amp should only be doing huge surges and getting hot occasionally otherwise its not set-up for daily driving.
-
" it turns the frequency it absorbs into heat it doesnt trap heat....."
so then it just creates heat lol even better hahahahaha
last thing an amp needs..... a heater mounted to it lolz.
-
they make dynamat kits for just about anything, including license plates, so if it was a good idea they would make an " Amp kit " as well don't ya think?
-
putting sound dampener on the bottom of the amp? why does every manufacture say to use wood then? preferably MDF. it doesn't trap heat like dampener either. sound dampener is for something totally different than this .

Obviously you don't know as much as you think you do kiddo. been doing this for a living for over 20 years.
the Medium Density Fiberboard ( MDF ) absorbs 90% of the sonic vibration and reflects it back as sound, that is why they use mdf kiddo. you are thinking of resonation not sonic vibration, 2 totally dif things here.
the spl pressure is not the same everywhere in the car either or they wouldn't use a TL mike at the glass / dash, they would just stick it where ever they wanted too.

We appreciate the positive feedback. Keep in mind, this is an entry level package but is intended to help a DIY'er get his/her feet wet.
