The best way is to work on the simple things.. one-handed cuts, card spinning, quick 'three-way cuts' and being able to flip the deck back and forth between your hands without the cards all falling out. Once you feel comfortable doing these basics it's easier to move on to the more difficult moves/manipulation.
There's a video for sale at Ellusionist called 'Xtreme Beginnerz'. It's by far the most informative card manipulation video I've ever seen and it gets rave reviews. Good luck!

Haha I doubt it. I haven't done any XCM or magic in about 16 months. School and doing work stuff has taken up my time like wildfire.
