Nice video's on the 1400. Glad to see I'm not the only one that uses a towel as a counter mat. Never thought of using a roll of duct tape to extract pins, I learned something new.

@rlewis473 If you haven't fixed your ejector yet (it's been ten months) I have some insight.
Apparently the pin-type ejector was enough of a problem that Winchester went to a retained ejector. Check around for gunsmiths that can convert yours. I'll be sending mine off to Gander Mtn. when funding permits.
I was sighting in a scope on my 1400 Ranger and the pin came out the left side of the receiver and broke the stock-end of the ejector after 11 slugs.

My bro just picked up an MK2 and this vid helped us figure out the disassembly with no problems. Thanks OP!
how many rounds can the 1400 hold?

@stangsaleens7 3 it was designed as a bird gun. gas operated and no plug.

@willwood487 now is that in all the models, because there is the 1400, Mk1, mk2, and then they have the 300 ted williams edition. Do they all only carry 3 shells? because i am intrested in buying this very nice looking ted williams 300 and i dont know how steep i will want to go if it only carries 3 rounds, (its about 200 dollars) because i want to use this as a skeet gun, i use a winchester sx3 for most of my bird hunting.

@stangsaleens7 yea even the Ted Williams only hold 3 shells as I recall. Designated bird guns only hold 3 shells. on in chamber and 2 in the mag tube.at 200 the 1400 would be a good addition. If you want more capacity look at a different model like maybe a Remington 1100. of course this is my opinion.

Scratch that last post. I saw the other comment that if the spring is backward it'll cause that problem. Went down and switched it around and that fixed it. Bolt works normally now. Thanks again!!
