Yes, it was very charitable of the Motown factory to allow 2 backing singers to collect royalties on material they never actually recorded. The "other voices added in other recordings" were THE ORIGINAL backing vocals. The other 2 weren't even there. IMHO "Someday" and "Love Child" should have been kept for Diana to release as her own. I'm not a Supremes fan and I make no bones about it, so for me, the later sessions without "The Supremes" were the best Diana recorded under the title DRATS.

FYI- "THE LAST ALBUM RECORDED BY "THE SUPREMES" Mary, Cindy & Diane is a "LIVE & LAST PERFORMANCE" call "FAREWELL" recorded LIVE at THE FRONTIER HOTEL in Las Vegas Nevada in January 14, 1970.

With that being set yes, "SOMEDAY WE'LL BE TOGETHER" & "LOVE CHILD" were recorded by them, THE ONES THAT REGARDLESS of all the other studio voices added in other recordings THEY DID RECORDED THOSE SONGS and NIGTH AFTER NIGHT ON TV & CONCERTS SOLD THEM TO THE PUBLIC, THEY COLLECT THE "ROYALTIES"

How come no big deals ever came her way, and then the moment she finally got someone to be interested (Ian Levine) she went and bit the very hand that fed her, and made off with his thousands without ever recording the album she was being paid to do. The only reason that mary and CINDY are on the live recordings is that hey were there to sing back ups for Diana and to try to fool people at the time that the supremes backed her on the studio version: the version that everyone bought!! Far more people bought hat version than saw it being performed live. And the same applies to Love Child, and yet mary stakes a claim on that track too. Pitiful. She quite simply has so very little of her own material to perform that any show she does is made u
