  • Ohio State vs. Miss-again, even in the pros, of COURSE the Ohio State guy won the battle. But the Raiders ALWAYS got fucked by the refs back in the day, especially in playoff games on the road.

  • the best policy change the NFL ever made was requiring referees not blow their whistles too early. why it took so long to figure that out ill never know. But it is absolutely imperative that the zebras are limited in their ability to determine the outcome of a game with bad calls. this game is a perfect example. (and im a bronco fan)

  • A horrible blown call

  • The worst thing about this game was it denied us all, NFL fans, a Raiders-Cowboys Super Bowl that would have been a classic. A bad call ruined that for all of us! Not to mention a hungover Matuszak who couldn't stop the run. It was New years Day, did you think the Tooz was in early the night before?

  • @7747jc: Also, what people forget is that these two teams played in Week 14 of the 1973 season in a winner-take-all game for the West title. Denver lost, and finished 7-5-2 that year. They should have won a few more games that year, though. They finished 7-6-1 the next year, but they lost a few they could have won that year as well, like to Cleveland and Pittsburgh.

  • haha raiders got fd...makes up for roughing the passer call vs patriots in 1976

  • @USAGiant99 Gowdy and Enberg split the #1 seat from 77' til after super bowl XIII, after Gowdy got screwed out of the baseball coverage

  • @USAGiant99 That's a good question. Gowdy called the famous "Ghost to the Post" game in the Divisional playoffs against the Colts a week earlier. Gowdy called the 1978 AFC Championship Game between the Steelers and Oilers. I wonder if he was sick that week and Enberg called the game in his place?
