Oh I see, I need to memorize both of those formulas. I always miss these types of questions because I usually forget that it is a combination/permutation type question.

i think i got all proofs P,C but in my book there is a note below Combination formula proof ,it says that the formula is not helpful for large values of n,r .how could it be ? it seems impossible to me so how? please help!

I have to thank you for this. kept wondering why my calculator was showing the right answer and i kept coming out with some strange huge number. changing the numbers you used to the ones i needed had me come out with the correct answer. :)
