Sorry if the vid was chopy, still figuring things out, it High Def shinola(?) too many verii scanners maybe clogin my puter butts, but anyway here is what is going on in this vid:
There is no sensor in Blender's Game Engine to recieve midi messages, so I used Bomes Midi Translator to map midi notes to qwerty keyboard key presses. The trick was in Bomes Translator I had to translate the hex message for both key down and key up events, so there were actually 4 messages being remapped in this demo for only two midi notes on and off. If you don't do that than the key gets stuck and the balls will either not move or just go flying off the screen. I may do more complex stuff with it eventually and t I'll probably be limited to a certain amount of keys, but for the first night of testing the results seemed pretty cool and I don't know all the possibilites yet.
P.S. Blender is free wares/open source bless them, and Bomes Clasic is nag ware, so you can do the same just as cheap as me! Small print': RS7000, computer and midi hardware not included.
