Modeled, rigged and animated in 3ds Max 09. My first walk cycle for my robot character. He will be part of a larger animation with what I assume will be lots of lasers and fire and maybe things exploding. Comments and critique appreciated!

  • Not bad, not bad at all.

Although, the body is too static compared to the moment of both the legs and the arms, needs moar weight.

  • @snaffus Yeah, I'm debating whether to give him a spine or some sort of extra segment to the body as it's just made of one bone. Even if he is a robot it still looks kind of stiff. The only problem is figuring out how to model the body to make it move properly, I could skin the body but then it would probably look weird compared to everything else. Thanks for the comment!
