If the Persians had won, cultural practices like: no slavery, social equality among men and women, and RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE might have been allowed to pervail. Both Persian and Greek culture had many wonderful qualities; it was not good against bad.

Americans have rather a biased view regarding history. They present Greece as being a "Rampart" ageist the barbarians. I travel a lot to Greece and part of my family is Greek. There's more shared culture and history between Iranians and Greeks than between the French and the Greeks, but this is a personal view, and I am not talking about the food. I think that all of us owe a lot to these two great civilizations and what is going on right now is really saddening!

Arabs took over Persia was because they were economically and numerically weakened by fighting with the Byzantian empire. The Persian armies were split apart by the war and were not united. And the Persians had a monothestic religon WAY before they was even a such thing as Islam. That religon preached good thoughts, good words and good deeds Not stoning women and treating them like shit. So thank you for bringing such a religon for us Persians to enjoy.
