The Neo Geo MVS Arcade Room

This is my little Neo Geo room with an original 4 slot MVS cabinet. The shelf houses a large collection of MVS titles with printed US AES color inserts in nice quality Shockboxes in chronological order from release date. This cabinet gets used quite often, the primary titles being KOF98, Last Blade 2 and Garou Mark of the Wolves.

Hardware has been upgraded to Sanwa sticks and convex competition buttons. A custom clear plexiglass control panel cover was added to keep wear and tear away from the original MVS insert and also just feels a lot better.

So how do SNK fans tend to feel about that button layout for fighting games? I'm a longtime Capcom guy myself. I prefer punches on top, kicks on bottom (either in a 4 or 6 button layout). I assume aside from some dedicated SVC Chaos cabs, the norm for Neogeo is 4 buttons in the line? Do you get used to it?

If I'm playing an SNK game that was designed for 4 buttons or less I prefer the Neo Geo layout. But that doesn't mean I dislike the capcom 6 button layout for games like Street Fighter. You can't reall compare them though really. It's apples and oranges.
