I remember seeing this video when it was shown on TOTP. I wasn't interested in Pink Floyd then, but I remember the immense deference the presenter demonstrated on introducing the video. I had also seen the album 'Dark Side of the Moon' in a record store, not knowing that it was even by Pink Floyd - nonetheless, the memory registered. I now recognise Pink Floyd as the greatest rock group in the UNIVERSE, and I was at their last ever show. There will never be another Pink Floyd.

@avenged4life100 it was sad because the way Syd took it was that he wanted to leave him behind because the other band members weren't letting him experiment as much for the money. He makes fun of it in Dark Globe: I With Eskimo chain, I tattered my brain all the way. Won't you miss me?:: Syd was going insane, and needed to leave, but much of it was the band losing hope, and I don't blame them. In the end, even if Syd was amazing with the band, him leaving was what led to The Wall and other works

@blotchy67 Syd wasn't "kicked" out of the band. His obsession with psychadelic drugs (a shit ton of LSD) drove him insane...and he left the band because he couldn't handle his life. He shut himself out of everyone's life. I agree with you on one part...Floyd were completely God's when Syd was laying down the music. But sometimes band members fall out of their band. They did what they could do without Waters and Syd. And they did a Damn good job to continue to make passionate music.
