@halopa246 ~ Brian Clement, Hippocrates Director said in recent video here on youtube that he doesn't eat nuts/fat often or recommend it, maybe 1.x week. I'm not sure if this is something new since then

have watched a few of Arnold's videos....i appreciate the great information, sharing stories from regular people and some vendors. I also noticed Arnold interrupts the other speaker at times and they loose focus, i recommend try not doing that so much :))

@halopa246 How are we ever going to no wht goes on in the body when we eat any form of meat? lets face it our veggies are nothing to write home about, even organic. its a shame! I have a little indian in me so i can hav a little buffalo LOL. well need to eat talk soon.Ps. for breakfast im going to have 12oz water, vanilla whey powder or rice, 2 raw eggs, maca, tsp. alfalfa powder, tsp. spirulina, tsp.cinnamon and feel great after and does not taste bad believe it or not. dont tell anyone LOL.

As far as diverticulitis it does not have to do with meat I think. I heard when eating flour it goes into the gut and makes a paste ball then hardens and gets caught in the gut and causes problems? not an atkins fan either to extreme. why would a diet have to be all or nothing? why do we always give diet credit and not kicking butt down the gym credit or health or great energy? just had green smoothie and for desert im going to have broiled salmon with broccoli with dulse and kelp.

Raw may be the answer for many but it's not likely an easy road. Many will be confronted with up and downs as they learn and relearn what and how to eat raw. Many will fail also and I believe few will succeed as the transition it seems is not easy. I suspect it's easier to transition if younger and more resilient. One thing I know is it, like life is a journey, and we must all make our own decisions regarding which path we are ready to take. Good information & an open mind will help you decide.

@porkyo123 : There are some who are 100% and looking really good, even athletes and people in their 70's. Granted many look unhealthy and those people are probably getting too much fat from nuts, seeds and avocados. My younger sister used to be thin her whole life and attended the Hippocrates Institute in Calif where you eat a high fat vegan diet. Should could not sustain this diet. After losing too much energy and gaining some weight she went off it. Raw needs to be balanced like any diet.

@porkyo123 : I don't know if I agree with that, I had a co-worker who wanted to lose weight and went on the Atkins diet, she lost the weight, but later also lost part of her colon after being diagnosed with diverticulitis. Another example that there is no one size fits all diet.

@porkyo123 : Thanks, I read it. I agree with what he is saying but his message should not be misconstrued to mean it's good to eat animal foods produced by modern agribusinesses. There are many cultures that thrived as vegetarians-like the Hindus-and still do, and many that thrived eating animal foods and hunting-like the plains Indians and Eskimos but these are likely adaptations that happened over many many generations which is what Dr. D"Adamo is saying, everyone cannot eat the same IMHO.

@porkyo123 : No, that's no exactly what I said. I felt good, good because aches & pains went away. No more headaches, backaches, sore hands and feet, everything was great except had low energy and broke a sweat with very little effort. I was probably eating too much animal protien, more than recommended by Dr. D'Adamo for type A and probably more The Dr. Furhman recommends. I noticed meat and dairy are at the top of his food pyramid...meaning eat small amounts of these foods.
thats actually not true. People don't go to the hospital for protein deficiency. most people get too much protein. Fruits and vegetables can provide you all of the protein you need. Do a little research you will be surprised. Countries with little to no meat consumption are much healthier, have lower obesity rates, and live much longer livers. Thats not a coincidence.
