It's a matter of pop culture leaving you behind, or, more to the point, us leaving it behind at a certain age. In my 20s I knew all the musicians and I still recognize their music, much as I can still instantly recognize a 1959 Cadillac on the road. Now in my 60s I can't keep up with the new crop of film actors, pop stars, etc because I don't have an interest in them. They may be talented, but who cares? I first heard about Gaga from an Ecuadorian waiter at a diner in New Jersey 6 months ago.

21 year old here....i know who ella is...i think that if you want to know music today, you have to know the music before... dont judge the younger generations if they don't know who ella is.... and dont divide when you say I GUESS WE WILL CALL IT EVEN.... listen to whatever, no matter how old it is or if its brand new...

I love Madonna, but people like you, the ones that only hate on others because they feel pressed and try to pull others down calling them "lord caca" or whatever... That's what makes me narrow minded. You should fucking don't care about Gaga if you don't like her. Just ignore her. Calling her Caca, won't make Madonna a bigger artist that she already is.
