On Saturday, March 8th, 2008, Richard Dawkins gave this lecture on The God Delusion during his US Tour. The event took place on the UC Berkeley campus in Wheeler Auditorium, and was completely sold out. A line of hopeful attendees stretched around the side of the building, waiting to see if there would be any 'no-show' tickets at the last minute! There was a Q&A session that followed the talk, which will be posted to the site soon.

I have, I've read the bible front to back probably 8 or 9 times. I've read the entire new testament at least 20 times. I was raised in a family that went to church/bible study/praymeetings ect for 11 hours every sunday, church camp twice a year, and VBS once a year. Then I moved out and realized how much bullshit was force fed to me as a child and started to study for myself and guess what, evolution makes sense. The bible has so many contradictions it's not even funny, get over it.

i also come from a very catholic family

and there more i learned about the christian faith, the more senseless and ridiculous it all seemed to be. Now im 24 years old and all i can say is that

i really really cant understand how any half intelligent person can auctually believe in any kind of religion.

Its funny how the two top comments exactly what happened to me in my childhood but i am in Muslim side and in Arabian country ..Evolution indeed make sense and all 3 Holy books are full of bullshit.I am still however living in extremely religious faimlly.o well.its all about time till i get out of my cave !

@Syst3m04 i wouldn't lash out at anyone. i'm actually really patient with people. thanks for the advice it's always helpful when someone gives me advice i take it into consideration and apply it. i will surely try not to make the same mistakes :).
