Can i have just windows xp/7 running on there... I.E. wipe the drive completely and just have a windows partition on there?

@FCGAP1, you could just format the whole thing and install windows, so it's not necessary.

Pretty Slow, but that's partly because macs in general are slow. If you have a faster drive (ssd), the load speed of drivers is more dependant on cpu etc. . Counting form 30 to 47 is 17 seconds. There are videos showing regular HD's starting xp in 10 secs and ssd in 7sec on yt. Also the sound stuttered at 47. I mean, it's not bad, but not amazing.

The beginning part was grey for a very long time and XP bar took more than a single loading bar. I'm kinda disappointed. I'm guessing 7 would boot faster because it knows SSD's better.

Yes. But we need MacOS for setup BootCamp. We can choose the HDD volume for windows on BootCamp.

question: is it possible to install windows and not have leoperd on an MBA or MBP ???? or leoprd is neccesary?....is not that i want windows....but i was wondering .... thx!

Leopard is neccesary. Boot Camp Setup runs on MacOS.
