part 2. Some of the Tagore's songs were taken from west. I dont think he dedicated it (at least i didn't hear) eventually he took it, and nobody asked any question.

Not for commercial purpose! that i seriously doubt. even the album is free, it is helping him to build his commercial career. who can argue!.

ok the verdict is: copy is something when u dont mention the original source and taking the credit of it but it might be used for commercial purpose. So all the talents stay in safeside

part 1. ok what's up. 1st the positives: bangla lyrics good, vocals, love it, catchy video. credit goes to them.

Is it copy! hmmmm. lets see. In 90s an album released called CopyR (might be copier). All the songs in that album were originally hit English songs. I think they were very honest saying it CopyR.lol. On the other hand, Kabir Sumon former Shumon Chakroborty sang Bob Dylan's Blowing in the wind in Bangla. it might be dedicated to dylan, but the album was for commercial no doubt.

@maisun26 John Denver er gaan ta is supposed to be bettre. Its the original after all. There is no such thing as 'better than the original' kaaron original er moto kichu na. If I am to make a spoof, aamar effort ta jotoi bhalo houk na keno it'll never match the original. :)

@halleygoswami dude, before you give your so called "freedom of speech", you should know what youre talking about. He published this album in respect for John Denver. thats why he didnt change the lyric. If you know an alternative for morubhumir jhor, please let me know.

@Tauhid19 hello !!! im not here to say anything about his singing skills ! all i said was that the translation could have been even better .

so what if suman has been singing for 16 years ? that only establishes his singing skills and not his efficiency as a translator .

and surely everyone has a freedom of opinion ?!!!

@halleygoswami lets get it straight.Stop whining and giving excuses.It is not really important to know that are you an artist or a singer or even a bus driver.Before correcting what the singer(Suman) wrote here,write me a better lyrics then what he wrote and i wont say anything.This guys been singing for more than 16 years.He definitely knew what kind of jhor he was supposed to write.

@Tauhid19 when it comes to knowing the bengali language , i am not ashamed to say that i do have some knowledge .

i would have definitely done it in another way if i were a singer . but im an artist , not a musician ( just a lovr of music ) .

but most importantly even if i knew music i wouldnt have gone into plain mimicry . i would have taken inspiration for something new and different rather than direct copy paste . thanks
