Uploaded from a Google Video http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5470443898801103219 with a description: "Norman Mailer and Marshall McLuhan expound on violence, alienation and the electronic envelope. The clash of two great minds. (1968)"
I thought I'd re-up it here as Google has been slowly shutting down their video section and it'd be a shame if this was wiped.
The Summer Way was an 'intellectual affairs' show broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Apart from this http://archives.cbc.ca/programs/858/ I couldn't find any more info about it online. If I get the time in the future I'll have a look around, but if you watch this and know anything about the series, please share!
Mcluhan's not in a conversation. He's in monologue. Different league to Mailer though. "The environment is not visual, it's information": Norman consumes himself.

@MrMadrid691 Are you sure you are not mixing the two up? If anything Mcluhan, the guy on the right, is the one doing all the interrupting....

Mailer has some very interesting things to say but he tends to hog the conversation. You can tell he was getting a bit on Mcluhan's nerves as the interview moved along. I wanted to hear more what Mcluhan had to say because he has interesting perspectives that cloud most other people's judgements.

30 seconds in and Mailer already sounds like an ass.
