Some people think that you should get a abortion if u know your child is going to be disabled but i think let them live as long as they can. let them deside if they are ready to go, not you. Let them give up cause they have done the best that they can.don't do it for them. Let them go cause they fought as hard and as long as they can. Everyone is human and deserves the same rights no matter what u look like or your disability!!

i am glad you didnt get an abortion, GOD gave you that child , even for a short time to love , and you got pics of him and his family , if you got an abortion, you would not have them and you wouldnt got to meet and love the baby God gave you all to love and cherish ..GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS

@travellingmummy Can you reccomend anything that you did to keep him alive that long? Like did the doctors do anything, any antibiotics...i'd like to keep my little man alive as long as i can :(

@angelmom3950 He had a brain. It was all there. His auto functions were all in his cerebellum which went largely unaffected. He was able to breastfeed for most of his 9 week life, though in the end he was too weak to feed. His heart, breathing, and digestion were completely unaffected. What took his life was his encephalocele rupturing - he lost all his cerebral spinal fluid and one cannot live without that.

The supposed "cuteness" of an anencephalic baby should not detract from the fact that he was delivered just so he could live a little over two months with a very serious medical condition and his parents could shoot a creepy video. I find this clip utterly cruel, sick, disgusting and revolting. Joshua Matthew just didn't deserve to be used as a catalyzer of "admiration" and "commendation". His mom should have got an abortion. End of story.

@mammothbelly I'm going to leave this - I just found it now. I really don't appreciate you judging my family's decision to give our son life. He was not in pain. It's not a creepy video. And if you post again, I'll be deleting your posts. My son's life doesn't deserve this treatment.
