Live at Chambery ( 08/02/05 ).
Serge Adam : trumpet
Benoît Delbecq : piano, prepared piano
Phillipe Foch : tablas, drums
Music that's free and pulsive.
Since 1993 "Les Amants de Juliette" have played a music which is born from the desire to listen to traditional abroad cultures.
The trumpet, traditionally linked to jazz music, is here playing the role of the singer. The Tablas remain the old Indian musical traditions. The piano, prepared with resonators, sounds like Indonesian melodies and African rhythms.
The music of "Les Amants de Juliette" opens a large number of possibilities in combination of traditional accoustique music and contemporary writing, which includes soloists and improvisation.
