Here is how I obtain US silver coins for their face value. I find this will work best with the half dollars boxes although dimes are a viable source of US silver for face value as well.

  • Did u pay exactly 500 for a box of $ 500 value half dollars?

Do they have any service charge ?

  • @jonathanyip343 I used to, but after a while the bank I was getting them from changed their policies, so I had to get them from a different bank until they changed their local policy...then I went to a different bank..I live in a big city so not too hard to find new branches to pull from.

  • If your time is worth anything at all this is a total waste of time.

  • @alan30189 found 2 coins worth about 5 dollars in 28 minutes, minus the dollar face value "fee" i paid to get the silver...9 dollars for 28 minutes of "work", or 9,2 grams of silver for $1 and 28 minutes of my time...I can think of worse things to do with half an hour, like watch American Idol or one of its derivatives on TV...

  • Compare a fisherman in a one man boat with a fishing pole whom just loves fishing ( Coin Roll Hunter) .... to a ship in the ocean with a full crew and nets (People whom buy silver) ..who's getting more fish (silver)? The full crew... but it isnt fun for them ... its work.. So who is really benefiting? I feel like the fisherman is because even though he gets less fish in the same time as the crew, he appreciates each catch (find) a little more than the crew

  • People complain about how time consuming this is without keeping in mind that it is a hobby. Just like most hobbies it takes patients....hunting...fishing...bird watching...stamp collecting... building model ships inside bottles... All things you get nothing for... who says you gotta be making min. wage for something to be "worth your time"? Some cultures put worth in sitting peacefully and doing absolutely nothing for days on end..

  • Make sure to check out Coin Roll Searching With Oppi... I go through thousands of dollars worth every day. Halves are a waste of time these days... Dimes are the closest to a sure thing! Although in my videos I go through all type of currency. Much love for the coin roll hunting community. ww.youtube.com/user/CoinSearchingSilver?feature=mhee

  • @BobLeeSwagger20 Quite the contrary. You should do the world and all YouTubers a favor and kill yourself.

  • @BobLeeSwagger20 No, YOU are losing the argument. It was a WASTE OF TIME in the opinion of most people on here.

  • @CLK50000 LOL every comment you make contradicts your previous one. First you say he should just weigh unopened rolls. Then he should open them and sort them. Then you talk about weighing the loose coins which makes no sense because that would just take longer than looking at the year. I agree, you do need a brain and common sense before you have a conversation with an intelligent person. So come back when you obtain those. Also the word you were TRYING to use is "wits." Fat American idiot.

  • @BobLeeSwagger20 You sorry excuse for a human! Of course, if they were sorted before being rolled, you would know they are all silver. DUH! You have to have a brain and some common sense before you can have a conversation with an intelligent person. I won't have a battle of whits with an unarmed person! That would be YOU!! Get a life, idiot!!

  • @alan30189 Wow, you're a child. Something's only as valuable as someone else is willing to pay for it. Which means your time isn't worth anything if you're not getting paid for it. Apparently, that saying is wrong since this is one argument your experience couldn't win.

  • @BobLeeSwagger20 So, you are saying that his time isn't worth a damn.I know what the value of a silver coin is. What I am saying is my time is worth more than all the time and trouble he went through just to get a couple of coins. So, I am going to go with the old saying: ""Never Argue with an Idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience!"

  • @CLK50000 Quoted DIRECTLY from your comment. "All you have to do is have an accurate scale that measures to 100th of a gram and JUST WEIGH EACH ROLL INSTEAD OF TEARING IT APART to know if there is a silver coin INSIDE." You fucking illiterate piece of shit. You should do the world a favor and kill yourself.
