@sulyokreka Roma are from many places. Some are Hungarian, some are Romanian etc. Hungarian folk music (like that collected by Bartók and Kodály sounds very different from "gypsy" tunes many times. You can blame composers like Liszt (who didn't even speak Hungarian!) and Brahms for the association. My family heritage is mostly Hungarian, but in that line, there's Roma. . . so I'm both Roma and Hungarian.

No, Gypsies are Gysies and not Hungarian.
There are many living in Eastern Europe, in Hungary, in Romania, in Turkey... They have their own language, national identity and dance and culture.
BUT! This one Hungarian Csárdás dance!
Not gypsy in any way. Music has similar roots with gypsy music and Hungarian folk music is many times played by (very talented) gypsy musicians though.
