You are so lucky to have your son!!! I have really severe Lupus too but don't have the son to wake up every day for! I hope that someday HE DOES find the cure! Go AJ!!!

I've never known anyone in RL with Lupus, but an online friend has it. It sounds like such a complicated disease, because Ive heard things from so many people who sound like they don't have a clue about it. My online friend tried to explain it on many blogs. I didn't really "get it," but I have a disability most people don't "get."

I joined YouTube SOLELY so I could make a comment: Good luck and God bless. Your son is beautiful.
I found this site because I was jokingly investigating "House + Lupus" because of my "know-it-all" 15-yr-old daughter. It brought tears to my eyes.
Unrelated, but completely related, on Friday, Nov 13th, I was diagnosed with having MS.
I basically keep this information to myself, but there is "no doubt" that I am unbothered with this change in my life because of my wife, son and daughter. Peace!

@mnevins2 yes HOUSE is HUGE for getting the phrase "It's not Lupus" out there which made peopl ewonder "What is Lupus?" I have had to stop making videos about Lupus because on January 27, 2009 my son Austin-Joseph was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease and that...it's hard to make a video about curing yourself when your child is much sicker...I nearly lost him...so be on the look out for Crohn's VIds to come...Keep on Smiling and pushing on...that is all we can do..Hugs~Josie Kay
