How to clean records with wood glue

Indeed a wet cleaning process is much faster using a cleaning machine. I do this using this method with deionized and descaled water, some self-dissipant tenside - pril e.g. - added (for better removal of stuck particles and also fingerstains). use low-warm water. Record is turned some revolutions slowly through the soft pads of the cleaning machine, then rinsed in a second bath with clean deionized water, eventually with some alcohol, and then dried on air in stand-up position.

Wood glue can make a world of difference for records that have gathered dust for long periods of time. After I do a wood glue treatment, I use a cleaning pad with a mixture of pure alcohol and distilled water, just to make sure there isn't any residue left from the glue. So far, I've always been happy with the outcome!

@theotherone58 have a look at all the forum posts and other youtube videos about this, even audiophiles with ridiculously expensive setups use this method of cleaning records because its so effective. The glue cannot properly bond to the vinyl so it won't leave any residue

I'm sorry but this goes against everything I have ever heard of. Records should be cleaned using a record cleaning machine. I understand the concept of what you are doing here but this also seems like it would be awful for your stylus. Glue leaves residue which stays in the grooves. With records costing $20 and up and a stylus being $100 and up, I could'nt see taking a chance. Kudos to you if this does work but I don't think this should be recommended.

@theotherone58 This does a much better job.

This seems very time consuming. Why not just clean it with cleaner that is made for records? This makes no sense.
