Here is my self adjusting sparge flow arm, apparently some breweries use something that uses this principle to allow wort to flow into the boiler without having to match in/out valve flows. They call it a Valentine Arm apparently. As you can see, it works very well.

  • Nice set up there mate, did you see my other vids of my automated brewery? I have moved away from valentine arm now, prefering instead for precise control using two peristaltic pumps to match flow in and out of the mash tun.

  • isnt it splashing to much when its going in to the kettle,just wondering ,people say it is not that good,?

  • @1960cad Some say so, but i havent had any adverse effects. If your worried,, just use a colapsable pipe on the end of the VA down into the the Copper.
