the "feminist" comment was not meant to be a divisive statement...i think this is a beautiful song that alludes to some of the experience of womanhood in a world and history of patriarchy....to me anyhow, this is the most explicit statement Joanna has made in song about the male-female dichotomy...In other songs it's buried in allegory and such/here I feel Joanna unmasked, lyrically and emotionally...my two cents.

@partlyclouded hmmmmmmm.....i think a FAIR amount of her music has a discernible feminist critique, especially on this album. it's awesome, i just think it's hidden in her music if you're looking for it :)
