Basically HD foam stands for High Density Foam. EPS Foam in Manufactured in Many Different Densities, and some EPS manufacturers produce their foam in 1 pound, 1.25, 1.5, 2 and 3 pound densities. If you place one cubic foot of EPS foam on a scale and it weighs 1 pound, then it is considered to be one pound density. If you weigh one cubic foot of EPS foam and it weighs 2 pounds then it is considered 2 pound density, and so on. Watch the rest of the video to find out more about HD EPS Foam.

  • Hi Neil, I am looking for HD foam for my windsurfing board at the front for a nose protector, to protect it from the mast hitting the nose of the board if I catapult. Could this be grade 4 foam do you know ?

    Thanks
