Grandpa can be so utterly old, feeble and screwed up that his character can be annoying. One of my favorite lines (for some bizarre reason) is the "Who shot Mr. Burns" episode where Grandpa says "Marge! The lamp is running away..." Bart: That's not a lamp, that's my dog, Man!" Grandpa: "So long lamp..." (as the dog moves out of frame).

Oh god this scene was so brilliant! Haha I remember Homer and Marge arguing whether to hitch the guy until they got home, then when they were at home, HOMER DECIDED TO GO ALL THE WAY BACK AND PICK UP THE GUY! xD Brilliant! Haha
