Eclipse IDE Configuration for Android Application Development - Tutorial

This is a tutorial. I provide entire instructions for downloading and installing Eclipse IDE, J2SE 5.0, and Android SDK for Android Development as of today, November 4, 2009.

Unfortunately, everything I ask you to do will sound arbitrary. It is always that way in the beginning, so don't get too scared.

It is meaningful to understand that the Eclipse IDE is a tool that you can use to develop Android applications for at least the T-Mobile G1 or the myTouch 3G mobile phone.

Here, we demonstrate installation of Eclipse on Windows.

i cant find the android-sdk-windows folder

@in12341234 1) backup important files that you personally created. 2) deinstall, then go through process again. 3) Trace where things fail. 4) You will learn a lot about your host environment. ;)

Mr. Larry, Oracle notes that JDK 5.0 Update 22 reached End of Life (EOL) in Oct 2009. Is it possible to use a newer version of the JDK.
