I learned this version from an LP of American Colonial Music many years ago.

  • This just made my day.

  • @LHCLEGION

You are very welcome. Your comment made my day, as well. Blessings!

  • After others have heard it and wondered about the "other parts", I knew it must be some kind of medley, but I did not know the names of the other tunes. I will have to check that out. Thanks.

  • Thanks for the comment of the music and the facial expression advice. Such double observations seem to be the norm with most who seem me playing here on this site. I have to admit I am not looking too "friendly" here (I may be giving one the wrong impression of myself) I often think it would have been better to have posted the works without video. It seems that people are often more prone to be influenced by visuals than they are by the music itself. It is interesting how peoples' minds think.

  • ya know, a smile can go a long way :)

  • There is a slight smile, at the very end, that may not be enough to get some people through the day, but it should be sufficient to say that I am not a complete sad-sack. I also could use a mild hair transplant, as well. Usually I am able to cover that up, but it was about 90 degrees in the place I was recording so I am starting to look haggard. Perhaps that is why I am not smiling? Listen to the music (without) the visuals, and see if you can not hear smiles all over the place!

  • Splendid music! I must say you are a very handsome man. :)

  • I got a violin for fathers day last year, Thank you for sharing your talent and giving people like me somthing to aspire to.

  • i hear "johnny cope" in there! part of the medley from your lp? look it up, "hey johnny cope are you walkin' yet, are your drums a beatin' yet, if you were walking iwould wait, tae gang tae the coles in the morning"

  • Nice and tuneful. More variation than I have previously heard ...you can get thet in a purely aural tradition or in a mixed aural/ manuscript/ published version milieu.

  • great job
