  • This is GREAT footage. I didn't remember Rusty changing his number from 4 to 10 in 1975; I thought that was after he returned to the Mets in 1981. #32 Jon Matlack. Young John Stearns #12?

I'm curious about the equipment and conversion process to digital. Mine aren't as good as this. See Mets at West Point 1975. And I'll be posting Opening Day 1980 shortly.

  • @gregnugget Hi,I shot this footage with a super 8mm movie camera back then.

In 2003 I had my super 8 films converted by Yes Video. It says on the DVD brought to you by Kodak. The sound track was also added by them as my films were silent.CVS was the store at the time I took them too.

  • @RayBozzanca Nice job! What was the occasion that they were all walking along the sidelines like that? Fan appreciation day? Some of them are carrying gifts, it looks like.

  • @southpore1 It was camera day at Shea! Back in those days the fans were allowed to take pictures of their favorite players. That was a designated area settup for the fans to take pictures mostly still photos from what I can remember.I had just bought my super 8mm movie camera and that was a great time to try it out. They would do that once a year "Camera Day"

  • felix millans daughter was my english teacher..and his grand daughter is one of my great friends

  • Lose that gut, Krane!

  • At about 1:34, that's Joe Torre (still a player) walking around in the outfield with Rusty Staub. At 1:42, and for about two seconds afterwards, that's Craig Swan walking around with Tom Seaver.

  • @sabreyow No, number 19 was Tom Hall ("The Blade"), who had been an excellent relief pitcher for the Twins. Ted Martinez had, in fact, been traded to St. Louis before the '75 season in exchange for Jack Heidemann and Mike Vail. Heidemann is in this film, in fact, wearing number 12.
