@Z2theONA Lol at how every single decent non-popular song has someone yarning about how unjust it is that crap songs get the mainstream. Sure it's ridiculous, but I mean... it is what it is, get over it and let it go lol.

@measmyself1 Still, doesn't excuse plagiarism, buddy.

Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell... The animes and many more sure know how to capture people with their stories, especially the music they emit, wrapping us in more into the anime.

I believe an over-zealous hip-hop basher, Z2theONA, made claims of the rap genre having "no talent" and this Yoko Kanno song is "awesomeness." Hate to burst your bubble but substantiated allegations of plagiarism have been lobbed against Kanno. In many of her songs, a couple from the GitS: SAC O.S.T.s in fact, have been compared side-by-side to other artist's songs and the similarities between them are startling. So what do you have to say now?

@plutoniumtangent Kinda sucks that the episode put the song in a sexist context. :P It was an amazing episode though, it was tragic how it ended.

@Z2theONA people like MIA-Paper Planes. What do you expect? 95% of people have 0 taste in music.

This song really draws a resonant chord with me.
Why, O Mother, did you breathe life into your wretched son? And why is love always a matter of lusting?
-
Oh man, it's all about gits and cowboy bebop :P
Good music goes a long way.

its how the world works...
some no talent hack makes a rap video and it gets 20 million+ views no problem and this awesomeness is at less than 30,000? shame

This song really only makes sense when viewed with the episode it first appears in. The man in the ep was born very sickly, and his parents would not let him get cybernetic implants that would have saved his life. When he says, "a woman underneath" he means he is a weak creature.
