  • I think it was STS-30, his commentary was a little drowned out by the roar...go figure.

  • Yeah, I liked Hugh Harris' voice too, he sounded like he was really getting into it when he would say, and liftoff, we have liftoff and the shuttle has cleared the tower, I thought Hugh was a good commentating, I wish he could do the very last shuttle launch before the shuttle is retired.

  • Hugh Harris still works as a volunteer as the KSC press site during shuttle missions and is there for almost every launch. Jack King is too! I like the fact that the people I used to hear on TV when I was a kid are still around the place where I get to work occasionally.
