  • what was the total amount of foam? (no price) i mean the amount

  • @SuperOc17 I believe I used one full can & it ended up roughly double the volume I needed to fill the head... If you're looking for more precise volumetric measurements I'm afraid you're going to have to keep looking... I always estimate roughly a doubling in size for normal Great Stuff & roughly a tripling of size for the Big Gap version...

  • @SuperOc17 Also please be warned that if you put down more than one layer at a time the inside may not dry correctly... I got lucky on this project but had a mess on my hands with one that came shortly after... I've hear a trick to filling large areas is to spray them with water as you go but haven't tried this yet myself...

  • I don't get it. This video doesn't even involve using the spray-on foam. I can tell that the ingredient are pumped via tubes into the source, or a foil bag.

  • @JerryGiesler09 Nowhere does it say that it used the spray-on foam... It's the Great Stuff Big Gap expanding foam that comes in the can... No ingredients are being pumped in, those "tubes" you are talking about are actually electrical wires that I used to add LEDs to the project later on...

  • Which specific Great Stuff product did you use? It looks like you're using a 2-part liquid polyurethane mix, but all I could find were their sprays. I'm working on an art project too and need a way to fill up space with material that's cheap, compact and lightweight.

  • @hpuilq This video does indeed use one of the spray products. Either the "Gap & Crack" or (more probably) the "Big Gap" version. No two parters on this one lol... I do want to recommend the new soy-based version of these products... It works just as well and doesn't completely destroy the environment... Good luck on your project!

  • Mmm... baked potato!

  • RISE MY PRETTY!!!

  • @phatmonk6195 Those DIY cans of the stuff can really only be used once, so if I hadn't thrown it in there, I would have just had to throw it out... Also one of the first times I'd used it & didn't know how big it would really get... In the future I also want to try the new soy based eco-foam stuff... Thanks for the comment!
