  • Supersesqui, the scenario is very different. After a campaign asking chocolate companies to use fair-trade cocoa cadbury worked with their existing farmers to help them become fair-trade compliant. Now literally thousands of farmers who were earning very little are seeing a decent return, can afford to send their kids to school, pay for medical treatment, etc.

  • Here's a thought for all of you 'hard of thinking' people:

Jabba Jabba works in the sun for 12 hours a day to produce a product for the west.

He earns 2 dollars a day to keep his family alive.

The LWBHPCB (left wing bleeding hear politically correct brigade) dont like this and start mouthing off. People stop buying the product and jabba jabba no longer earns 2 dollars ....and his family die.

I hope you are happy ....you callous, murdering, heartless PC bastards !!

  • @Tomorer So, now that you have looked into these matters..... that your moral compass will not allow you to take advantage of OR use any product or service or person who is involved in any of the products I mentioned ?

Well if you do i will have the greatest respect for you. I also like your video.

Think of me next time you share a COFFEE with your friends in the Hoo.

  • @supersesqui how can you be so insensitive after watching something like this?? Its good for people to talk about these matters , even if they unknowingly contribute to it in other areas. How are we supposed to know our hard earned money goes toward this shit. ' Bleeding hearts' ???? You'll probably have one if you keep on with that attitude. Stresshead

  • It is for the politicians to run their own countries.

If you bunch of bleeding hearts are so fucking concerned....give up chocolate, THEN oil, cotton, carpets gold, diamonds, rice, garments, coffee and tobacco.

Then sell your shares in all affiliated companies. Then fuck off to these countries and do something useful rather than talk PC bullshite.

  • Starbucks buys cocoa from sources that support slave labor in Africa. Yet they promote themselves as a ethical corporation that ensures the "living wages" to all the farmers.

  • Africans enslaving Africans, why aren't i surprised in the slightest?

  • Incredible video!

It's horrible that this is reality for so many people in the world. As consumers, we are providing the demand for such practices. We must tell chocolate manufacturers such as Nestle to become Fair Trade compliant.

  • Oh my goshh! This is so sad :(

For English I did my presentation about chocolate and told about Fair Trade. I also showed this video to my class. Now I only eat Fair Trade chocolate!

  • wowsers. That's intense!
